Original Clubhouse

 

The first meeting of membership and directors was in 1965. The articles of incorporation and bi-laws stated there would be 7 directors. They would come from all different areas of the community, one doctor, one attorney, etc., to be sure that the whole community was represented on the Board. The articles of incoporation stated that we would be a not-for-profit organization. There were 200 original members, of which only 25 actually played golf. The rest supported the club for the good of the whole community. In order to maintain our not-for-profit status 75% of our income must come from memberships.
